Carl Kesselman is an acknowledged authority in grid computing technologies. This term was developed by him and professor Ian Foster in book ''The Grid: Blueprint for a New Computing Infrastructure''. He has co-led the Globus project, which is developing core technologies for computational grid systems in the areas of resource location, resource allocation, computer security, data communication, and data access. Most recently he received international recognition for GUSTO, the world's first high-performance computational grid.
